Brief
Fun Valley required a space that would be suitable for a full soft play area for children as young as one to teenagers.

Plan
The 10,000 sq ft property on Evington Valley Road, Leicester, posed a number of challenges especially due to being an old dye factory. The building required a full strip out to make it work. Working closely with local architects,  structural engineers and designers, we initially worked through the plans to make the best use of the space. Not only did we have to make the building fit for purpose, we also had to fit a full soft play area, toilets, break out area, restaurant with kitchen, mezzanine area and offices into the area and make the best use of space.

Solution
One of the great things about the property was its high ceiling areas which allowed us a lot of scope to fit the soft play area and create a new mezzanine floor. Following the full stripped out of the building, we got to work to fully clad the exterior with hard-wearing material, create a new ceiling with glass panels to let light in.  The exterior contrasted perfectly with the light and colourful interior perfect for children and parents. The final part of the project involved positioning and installing the soft play area. A full health and safety audit was then completed on the full site including the equipment ready to handover to the client.

This was an extremely challenging project for Eco Construction due to the time constraints and the sheer amount of work we had to carry out. . We are delighted to pull in all our experience and skill to achieve completion on time and within the budget.
